The Local Government (Community Well-being) Amendment Act has resulted in a change in the purpose of local government, which is to promote community well-being.
This means that we, as local authorities, are responsible for improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of our communities.
The Taituarā Community Well-being Service has been developed to support you and your council to improve the well-being outcomes of your community.
The Service includes a data warehouse containing indicators of the well-being of your community, along with guidance on how to meaningfully engage with your community.
