About this event

The new Privacy Act 2020 requires reporting of serious data breaches to the Privacy Commissioner and affected people. Data needs to be kept safe and treated with care. Managing IT risks takes a whole of organisation approach, and information breaches carry significant reputational risks.

Simpson Grierson’s Kathryn McLean, Tony Krzyzewski from the Global Cyber Alliance and Geoff Barnard from Tauranga City Council will look at the privacy responsibilities for local authorities under the new law and how to manage information risk in your organisation.

The cost for this webinar $250+GST per council.

Only one person is required to complete the registration on the Taituarā website, details on how to access the online event will be emailed directly to this person closer to the event start date. This information can then be shared with all staff in your council who wish to participate in the live session.

If you are unable to attend the live session a recording will be made available withing one week. Recordings can be distributed to all staff at any council who have registered.
