In a time of uncertainty, leaders need to cut through the noise and engage with staff and stakeholders in a meaningful way. But some of us don’t know how to tell great stories - or we're afraid to. As a result, our most important messages are never heard.
As an award-winning journalist, Jehan Casinader tells compelling stories that engage Kiwis’ hearts and minds. In this interactive workshop, he’ll teach us to do the same.
Sharing practical tools and techniques, Jehan will focus on how people working in local government can use storytelling to build trust and lead change.
About Jehan
Jehan Casinader is a journalist, speaker, mental health advocate - and one of New Zealand’s top storytellers. A familiar face on shows like Sunday and Seven Sharp, Jehan has won major awards, including ‘Broadcast Reporter of the Year’ at the Voyager Media Awards, and ‘Reporter of the Year’ at the New Zealand Television Awards.
Jehan has a degree in public policy, along with a strong understanding of the local government sector and the challenges facing our Councils.
As a mental health advocate, he is the author of ‘This Is Not How It Ends: How rewriting your story can save your life’ (HarperCollins).
