Taituarā has begun building a resource and reference point to support councils in the promotion of the wellbeing of their communities.

The LGSectorGoodToolkit has always been a well-utilised resource centre for councils. We have just added a dimension which focuses on community engagement and wellbeing. Follow the link above to have a look at some great examples from around the country and access a wealth of resources to help you build your organisation's capability in promoting community wellbeing. If you need your council’s login to access the LGSectorGoodToolkit, just email info@taituara.org.nz.

We will continue to add detail to this section of the LGSectorGoodToolkit and welcome your contributions. If you have an idea or something to contribute please email your suggestion to info@taituara.org.nz.

To support this and generate further collaboration, Taituarā has also created a new discussion group, for 'Engagement'. Discussion groups generate a lot of interesting and supportive conversations among kaimahi. They are a source of ideation and sharing across a range of council functions. Recently the Democracy and Participation Reference Group suggested there could be an engagement discussion group so council officers could share information and ideas, ask questions and look for opportunities to collaborate in an engagement context. Sign up to this new group by going to the Taituarā Discussion Group webpage, and then clicking on 'Engagement' before following these easy instructions.

We look forward to seeing you all connect through this new channel and contributing to each others' great work. Karawhiua!!
