Every year Taituarā recognises members who have been working in local government for many years. They epitomise commitment and dedication to the craft of local government and they bring with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise that can not easily be quantified. The awarding takes place at the Taituarā Annual Summit. Nominations for Long Service Certificate Awards are called for mid-July each year.

This year, the awarding of Long Service Awards took place at the Taituarā Annual Summit held in Queenstown on 10 - 11 September. The awards were presented by Taituarā President, Phil Wilson.
