Between 2019 and 2022, Toi Moana (BOPRC) developed and implemented our new People Plan - Toi Tangata. This was a three-year programme to provide direction for our organisation in creating the right culture, so we can deliver the right outcomes for our community and environment.
Toi Tangata looked at what we were doing in the people space. In the same way we have plans for developing our region or for protecting our environment, this plan ensured we had the correct pieces in place to make it a great place to work and deliver on what we've said we'll do for our region.
Our work is complex and the pace of change in our work is rapid. We needed to be intentional about creating our work culture and having the right people here, because people are central to everything we do.
Toi Tangata is directly connected to and supports our Organisational Strategy, enabling us to thrive and deliver great outcomes for our community, now and into the future.
