The long-awaited legislation to replace the Resource Management Act is passing through the Parliamentary process and we await Royal assent.
Key features of the new planning system include:
- stronger national direction
- more standardisation
- statutory regional spatial plans
- combined regional regulatory plans
- new approach to environmental limits
Join MCERT officials for a webinar that provides you with an overview of the new Planning system. The webinar will cover the Planning Bill and the Natural Environment Bill and will include discussion on what has changed since the Bills were introduced.
MCERT and Taituarā will outline the implementation roadmap and planned implementation activities.
