The Aspiring to Lead development programme has been designed for local government professionals in partnership with Business Central.

The programme consists of 12 topic areas designed to develop a basic level of core management and leadership skills for employees new to leading a team, project and managing others.

How it works?

It is expected that delegates will attend four virtual workshops and one face to face workshop in order to cover all 12 topics.

The virtual workshops are live interactive sessions, and delegates will have the option to attend the face to face workshop in either Christchurch, Hamilton or Wellington.

Who should attend?

Local Government professionals who are aspiring leaders in the sector and would like to learn and develop core management and leadership skills.
