The Innovation Expo serves as an annual community event to showcase cutting-edge innovation from local and global innovators and deliver insightful talks to foster inspiration and enthusiasm. Through dynamic exhibits, engaging demonstrations, and informative keynote and panel sessions, the Expo actively works to dispel misconceptions surrounding technology by showcasing its transformative potential in solving real-world challenges, and inspiring attendees to explore opportunities and careers in STEM fields.
The Expo also provides an opportunity to connect innovators with like-minded individuals, fostering collaboration and partnership that leads to remarkable advancements. This collaborative spirit not only fuels creativity but also nurtures a culture of cooperation and collective problem-solving.
The Expo positively impacts the wider community. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the Expo aims to generate solutions to pressing societal issues, drive economic growth, and improve quality of life. Additionally, by inspiring individuals to pursue careers and education in STEM fields, the Expo contributes to building a skilled workforce and a more innovative society.
The 2023 Expo was free-to-attend and took place at Te Pae Convention Centre where it welcomed 8,000 attendees over two days on September 10 & 11, 2023. It featured 70 exhibiting stands, 34 guest speakers, five workshops, and a live esports event. Due to Covid the Innovation Expo event had not been held since 2020.
