About this event

Participants will learn how to identify the key climate change related risks to their organisation and their community, how to develop realistic adaptation plans, and how to recognise the financial and legal risks as we transition to a net zero world. The training will enable participants to develop and recommend to their elected members approaches to respond to the challenges posed by climate change and to lead the organisation and community towards greater climate change resilience.

Topics include:

  • Setting up and planning an assessment 
  • Understanding physical and transition risk for local government 
  • Key steps for assessing climate risk 
  • Some examples 
  • Adaptation planning considerations.
