In addition to the analysis of the Working Group on Representation, Governance and Accountability’s report and our own Taituarā analysis, we would like to highlight that the Three Waters Rural Supplies Technical Working Group is continuing to progress its work.

The third Zoom meeting of the Rural Supplies Technical Working Group took place on 10 March 2022, and updates from the Chair and meeting agendas, minutes and presentations are available at three waters reform programme working groups webpage on the Department of Internal Affairs website.

Department of Internal Affairs officials will distil the discussion and feedback into draft recommendations that can be fed into the proposed legislation that will provide the operating framework for the new Water Services Entities.

The group will convene its fourth meeting on 1 April 2022 and a fifth meeting in mid-April 2022 (date to be announced). An agenda and further information for that meeting are being prepared.
