The Datacom Award for Excellence in Digital Government is for projects that have achieved successful results from the application of digital or technological solutions.
The entries this year include an app bring together 70 council datasets, a digital campaign to promote local elections, an intelligence tool to support civil defence in Tairāwhiti, a virtual reality-based education tool, and computer modelling of council buildings in Napier.
These entries demonstrate the power of technology to empower, to inform, to transform, and to generate great outcomes.
